About Adama Hair Wraps
Hi! My name is Sorrell, and I am an Arizona Homesteader, organic gardener, and full-time hair wrapper.
I started Adama Hair Wraps as a creative outlet and a way to turn a passion into a business.
My mission: to give beautiful last-chance, and secondhand fabrics a new life, keeping them out of landfills and turning them into something meaningful.
I wrap my hair full-time for religious reasons and have found extraordinary meaning in having it shown only to my husband and me.
Every wrap you receive tells a story of sustainability, style, and self-expression. Adama Hair Wraps are designed to be as versatile as the people who wear them — whether you're covering your hair for religious or cultural reasons, navigating hair loss due to a medical condition, dressing for work, or simply expressing your everyday style. My wraps offer comfort, dignity, and beauty, no matter the reason you wear them.
Adama Hair Wraps are thoughtfully handcrafted in Arizona. Each fabric is hand-picked and locally sewn, ensuring quality, individuality, and sustainability in every wrap.
Most Adama Hair Wraps are made from fabric in limited supply, which means many are produced in very small batches. Once these wraps are gone, they're truly gone—so if you see a design you love, don't wait! Be sure to grab your favorite while it's still in stock!

Frequently asked questions

Can I wear your wraps if I'm not religious?
Absolutely! Adama Hair Wraps can be made for any occasion, for any purpose.
Many of my customers wear my wraps while working outside to help protect them from the sun. Others wear them on bad hair days or when they want a cute scarf to match their outfit. There are many possibilities, and I can't wait to see how you wear yours!
How big are your wraps?
All wraps are approximately 36x36 inches.
I'm currently designing wraps with different sizes for future releases, so stay tuned!
Is it worth the price, or can I get the same thing cheaper?
Every fabric used for my scarves is personally hand-picked by me, pre-shrunk with care, and brought to a local cut-and-sew company here in the Phoenix, Arizona area. From sourcing to production to final details, I handle the entire process by myself. None of my scarves are bulk-ordered; all are custom-created. While I don't create the pins or headbands, I carefully source each one to create a curated collection. I work directly with a manufacturer to design my scrunchies. This hands-on approach ensures quality, value, beauty, thoughtfulness, and genuine care woven into every piece—from start to finish.
Will this work for my hair - or is this another product not made for me?
Adama Hair Wraps are designed to be as versatile as you are. I have many different styles, colors, and patterns, which give you so many beautiful options to choose from!
My wraps are designed for anyone who wants to wear them.
And there are many different ways to wear our wraps!
All wraps are 36x36 inches. If your hair is short to medium, you can get full or mostly full coverage with your hair down and the wrap folded into a triangle (depending on your hair length, of course)
If your hair is long, you can achieve more coverage by folding the wrap into a triangle, but making one side longer than the other. This will give you a longer tail in the back.
Adama Hair Wraps also sells scrunchies and hair bands to help keep your hair and scarf in place.
Will this actually stay on my head?
Yes, and here's how:
All scarves can slip off your hair due to the natural movement between your head and the wrap, so a non-slip band, a volumizing bobi, and/or bobby pins are usually needed to keep it in place.
If using a non-slip headband or volumizing bobi, put it on your head first, then add the scarf. You may still need bobby pins to secure the band, bobi, or wrap, depending on how it feels on your head.
If using bobby pins, secure the wrap to your hair with them in whatever way is comfortable for you after you get your wrap in place.
What does Adama mean?
Adama is a biblical term meaning soil or Earth.
Where do you ship?
I ship anywhere in the U.S. I am not doing international orders at this time.
How long does shipping take?
Your items will ship about three business days after purchase. Once shipped, your items should arrive within a week, provided there are no delays at the post office.
Can I return or exchange a product?
You have 14 days to return or exchange a product. Items in our starter packs are not eligible for customization or product swap unless an item is defective. Please see our returns policy for all the details.
Why do your tags say, "100% miscellaneous pieces of undetermined fiber content. Secondhand materials - fiber content unknown?"
All of my wraps are created from last-chance and second-hand fabric. Per law (the FTC), any garment sold in the US must include the composition percentages of all fibers the garment is made of (e.g., 60% cotton, 40% polyester, etc.) However, the fabric no longer has the original composition sticker, so per the FTC's guidelines, my wraps contain this statement.
